You are good at what you do. Your skills, talents, and business savvy are valuable resources that entrepreneurs can tap into. As a SCORE volunteer, not only do you use your knowledge and experience to help others succeed, you also support the community in a meaningful way. You can gain a tremendous sense of personal satisfaction from nurturing businesses and startups so they grow and thrive.
With Fairfield County SCORE (one of the top five chapters in the country out of over 300) you'll be part of a team of 100 volunteers representing all facets of the business community. Some volunteers have worked as senior executives at Fortune 500 companies or as entrepreneurs and small business owners. Some are accountants and attorneys. Others have expertise in eCommerce, social media, marketing and finance. Some are still working full or part time and offer their subject mater expertise as available. Whatever your skills and strengths, put them to work for SCORE. You have the options of:
- Providing free confidential, one-on-one mentoring and team advising
- Leading, developing or arranging workshops
- Providing online coaching from your home or office
- Supporting a variety of chapter operations or participating in fundraising
- Leading chapter marketing and outreach efforts in the Fairfield County towns we serve.
- Volunteering as a SCORE leader in any number of roles
